Please feel free to join the project of the month! Most of these patterns are available by special permission of the designers, so make sure to thank them on Ravelry.com if you get the chance. You can print them out at home or pick up a copy at the store. As always, if you bring in the finished project by the end of the month you will be entered to win our $25 monthly drawing!
September Knit and Crochet Along: Socks! Please start and finish your adult-sized pair of socks in the month of August. Any pattern is okay! Socks made from the class will count, too!

This two-part class will take you top-down, through the heels and toes in worsted weight yarn! Required: please come to this first class with the ankle ribbing already completed on your first sock. This means you will need to be able to work in the round on either double points, two circulars, or magic loop.
Building Blocks: Increase your Knitting Abilities!Saturday, Sept. 13, 10:30-12:30
(same time every second Saturday of the month)
A once-a-month, year-long tutorial in squares made into an afghan at the end. Each lesson gets more difficult and has online video tutorial help as well as from the book. You may either take one class ($20) or sign up to take all 12 ($200=two classes free). Per class fee is by availability only. Required materials include Building Blocks by Michele Hunter, available in our store.
Stranded Knitting in the RoundSaturday, Sept. 13, 1-3pm
Learn to knit in the round with two colors while you knit the Opus Spicatum hat! In this class, you will learn to carry both colors in one hand, which means you do not need to learn how to knit in the continental style, and you will be working in the round, which means no purling. The shop model was knit with self-striping yarn “Reggae Ombre.”
Required: Please come to the first class with the ribbing already completed so we can jump right into stranding. Recommended yarn: two different colors of a self-striping yarn like Gina or Reggae Ombre.
